As Venture Partner, I was responsible for leading business development to create new opportunities for frog's Venture Design portfolio, focusing on both building new ventures and building entrepreneurial capacity in existing companies. In this role I also focused on building partnerships with impact-oriented venture funds and incubators, as well as performing due diligence on potential investments.As strategist, I worked with cross-disciplinary teams of designers and engineers to develop new product and service concepts, incorporating my business skill-set to assess market opportunities and concept viability. I've worked with clients in various areas, including projects on renewable energy, health and wellness, smart lighting, and more. Areas of personal emphasis include sustainability, mobility & smart cities, and social impact. Part of the frogImpact leadership team, helping drive the company's platform for and work in social impact, I also developed and led the frog partnership with Rockefeller Foundation's 100 Resilient Cities initiative. In that capacity I was fortunate to work with on social equity in housing.

RVL was a social innovation impact consultancy. We helped organizations adapt, bringing together powerful teams to solve real problems. We excelled at building strategic partnerships to achieve leverage. We worked with organizations ranging from small local government agencies and non-profits to global top-10 corporations. Our sweet spot sat somewhere between technology, sustainability/social responsibility, and innovation, always with an eye toward business model innovation. As Founder and Principal Consultant, I managed all aspects of the business, including business development, relationship management, recruiting, service delivery, growth strategy, and finances.RVL also produced a series of events, including the Get a Real Job Fair (getarealjobfair.com), connecting technologists with startups, and Bloom Seattle (bloomseattle.com), an evening of innovations in sustainability.

EnergySavvy makes energy efficiency easy for customers and quantifiable for utilities through software. I led customer solutions and market development in the Northwestern U.S.

Agent Green provided small businesses with the financial and technical resources necessary to undertake energy and water efficiency retrofits. We leveraged consumer buying power in conjunction with utility partnerships and patient capital to ensure a smooth retrofit. We raised capital, developed partnerships, and executed successful retrofits, but ultimately couldn't prove out our business model, so closed the company in December 2011.

As General Manager, responsible for daily operations and for transitioning from the Flexcar brand to the Zipcar brand in the Los Angeles & San Diego (SoCal) market. Reported to the President & Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Zipcar's acquisition of Flexcar, served as Assistant GM for Flexcar Seattle, responsible for daily operations of the market, including business development, personnel, marketing and communications and community relations and outreach. Finally, also served as Program Manager of the Job Access Reverse Commute grant program, managing $5MM grant-funded project working to create and test customer value proposition vis-à-vis car sharing and underserved populations.
