About Damian Cox

Almost my entire career has been centered around the people, tools and technologies that process, manage, and democratize data. I have a deep passion for the folks who want to make better decisions based on their data and for organizations that take pride, and place real value on their data assets. I take their desire to spend less time wrangling data and more time making better decisions as my personal mission and I get a great sense of satisfaction when I see data “done right”.My leadership and collaboration style is collegiate and inclusive with a fundamental belief that great things are only achieved with great teams performing at their best. I get a real thrill out of creating the conditions for smart people to be able to do hard things.I am active in the broader data community as a past chair of the Brisbane branch of the Data Management Association (DAMA) and I strive to promote equality, diversity and inclusion as a member of Women In Technology. I am also an active member of Rio Tinto’s domestic and family violence working group.
