I am a globally recognized senior Information Technology expert and consultant. Following nearly forty years of experience creating and delivering solutions to clients around the world and leadership of global technology practices with Accenture, Boston Consulting Group and American Management Systems, I have retired from Accenture and am in private practice advising senior IT and business executives and Boards of Directors.With a focus on financial services and global capital markets, I have served most of the world’s major broker-dealers and many equities and fixed-income exchanges, universal banks, private equity funds, hedge funds and global payment networks. Examples of my recent experience include leading:- Development and implementation of global IT operating models for US and European universal banks. - Development of strategies to improve IT’s cost effectiveness and business enablement.- Independent forensic analysis of adverse “events” in global exchange trading and global payments processing, including testimony before national regulatory bodies.- Pre-acquisition due diligence for major transactions by private equity funds and global merchant banks with career experience including more than seventy-five such transactions.- Post-merger integration of IT and business operations following large, global transactions.- Serving, at the request of the CIO, as interim Global CTO for one of Accenture’s largest financial services clients.Examples of my current practice include:- Advising CIOs and CTOs on IT strategy and transformation of the IT function’s costs and business effectiveness.- Advising senior business executives on improving business performance via IT-enabling investments.- Advising Boards of Directors on structuring to oversee IT performance and IT-related risk.- Evaluation of proposed major IT initiatives.- Forensic analysis of adverse IT “events”.- Pre-acquisition technology-focused due diligence.
