My recent role at Vicmovers provided me the opportunity to setup a small business website from scratch. We started with research on our target audience and a list of most typed keywords related to the business profile. While developing website, the content was kept simple and easy to navigate. Later on, the role also expanded to maintaining social media profile of the business and developing engaging content for the web pages and blogs. It involved constantly researching industry related topics, analyze traffic data and improve content accordingly. This exercise resulted in 30% increase in quotations volume, increased web traffic and delivered an industry-leading competitive advantage. At the moment, I am managing two websites for them on part time basis with the main focus on social media profiles, blogs and reviews. The summary points of my duties are mentioned below:• Designed and developed user-friendly website resulting in quotation volume by 30%.• Image preparation for web and promotional material using HTML/CSS and Adobe Photoshop.• Research and write new content and modify existing layout to incorporate new design elements.• Identify customers’ needs and recommend new topics• Web Layout, SEO, User Reviews, Online presence building using blogging, Google Ad words, Analytics and Webmaster tools• Maintain Facebook business page, Google reviews and WOMO reviews.• Tools used: Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, ATOM• Trained staff on how to add new pages and make day-to-day changes to the website.

VPW are the sellers of automotive parts and accessories. They already had online presence. But since the trend was shifting to mobile devices, they hired me in 2014 to revamp their website and make it mobile friendly. I re-designed the website making it easy to navigate and more interactive using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The main point of interest was the PRODUCT SEARCH page. It interacted with SQL database using C#. I re-designed the page and simplified it by putting filters. A fair bit of .NET MVC was used along with SQL stored procedures. Also, the online orders were integrated with their e-Suite accounting platform. The exercise clearly resulted in increased orders and thus more business for the brand. Many of their existing customers gave positive feedback on the new layout, simplified search page and responsive design. The summary points of my role there are:• Re-designed the company website making it more interactive and simplifying the search for products. It clearly resulted in increased traffic volumes.• Integration of online orders with E-suite accounting system using C#, .NET MVC and MS-SQL Server.• Managing day-to-day operations of the two company websites, troubleshooting and admin on IIS, MS SERVER.• Revamped the company’s EBay store streamlining products across categories and updating orders back into E-suite.• Migrated content from the current website to the new website in phases and tested the new layout on a variety of devices and screen sizes.• Identify new opportunities for visual content to increase consumer engagement.
