Working in a busy office environment I was responsible for the processing of customer orders from receipt to despatch. Overseeing a small administration team I introduced new processes to ensure all stages of the order system are streamlined and as effective as possible.Key responsibilities• Sales – responding to customer enquiries via telephone, emails and face to face, taking orders and providing advice and quotations.• Customer Service - investigating any complaints received and resolving matters to the satisfaction of all parties.• Accounts Payable – checking supplier invoices, querying irregularities and meeting payment deadlines. • Customer Accounts – handling customer payments and monitoring overdue accounts, taking appropriate action to ensure a payment is received.• Marketing – attending monthly meetings to discuss and generate new products and promotion strategies. • Mailshots - coordinating advertising campaigns, producing customer lists from the database and creating mail merge documents. • Personal Assistant to Directors – attending all meetings, preparing agendas and producing minutes.Key achievements/projects• Since working at Tolley Badges I have seen an increase in sales from both new and existing customers.• This is further reinforced by the many customer testimonials we receive.• I have trained staff and given them confidence in their abilities, as a result, during my time as office manager staff retention is high and mistakes are low.

I was responsible for coordinating and supporting the Society’s Employee Engagement activities. I worked to deadlines, ensuring that project objectives were met and that the highest standard of customer service was provided.Key responsibilities• Scheduling and attending Colleague Focus Group meetings.• Working with external partners in the coordination of benchmarking projects such as Investors in People (IiP) and employee surveys.• Organising Society events and conferences.• Regular use of spreadsheets, databases, Word and PowerPoint applications to prepare suitable documents for both management and colleague use.• Arranging meetings and attending as secretary, contributing to discussions and producing minutes.• I was responsible for the coordination of the annual survey involving over 8500 employees, collating responses and analysing results.• I prepared action plans and helped initiate completion by collating comments and circulating to the appropriate management teams.Key achievements/projects• I coordinated the Society’s IiP assessment which involved arranging interviews for numerous colleagues from across the whole business, producing information and liaising with and providing supporting documentation for the external assessor. The Society was awarded with Gold IiP status.
