Profile bio

About Gala Radinovic

Ever since my mother introduced me to Star Wars back in 1999, I always dreamed of being a Jedi. Little did I know that my destiny would lead me on a quest to become the best Yoda I could be - we are both INFJs, after all, approaching life with a deep thoughtfulness and imagination. Let’s backtrack though, being Yoda was not my original goal. I originally wanted to join the motion picture industry (my MA is in film from NYU: Tisch School of the Arts, after all), and while I did get to audition for the Star Wars Episode VII lead role of Rey Skywalker, my “side hustle” of substitute teaching while I was pursuing the film world turned out to be the true reason I was excited when the phone rang. And when you really think about it, don’t Jedi and educators share the common goal of making the world a better place through mentoring the next generation? That is my purpose. Be it through mentoring students on their university application profiles, teaching life skills, writing blog articles targeted at parents on how to best raise their children in these fast-paced dynamic times, researching book recommendations, public speaking engagements (former actress here, stage fright does not exist!), or simply ensuring my clients are successful and happy, I take great pride in supporting the growth and development of others. Some of my favorite career accomplishments to date include founding the elementary school arts department at the Ittihad Private School, serving as the Head of the English Department at a Taaleem school in the United Arab Emirates (launching a school-wide spelling program had a nice side effect on the standardized testing results!), launching the Rise Readers newsletter and being the primary contributor for the Crimson Rise blog, as well as seeing my past 300+ client meetings all receive top satisfaction scores. Looks like I’m doing something right! When I’m not working (or watching Star Wars!), I love to travel. My parents’ background in aviation means I’ve had the privilege of seeing over 30 countries, and my multicultural mindset is a key contributor to success in my work with students, parents, colleagues, and partnerships from across the globe. You can usually find me at the track in the evenings trying to get ready for the next 100m hurdles competition because I like to live life in the fast lane and am not afraid of the barriers life may throw at me. On a more chill day, I’ll be at the local cat cafe with whatever their latest latte concoction may be - preferably with oat or coconut milk, embracing the hygge!
