Wagner de Campos Galuppo specialises in numerical simulations, including Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Numerical Heat Transfer, and Solid Mechanics. He holds a PhD in Polymer and Composites Engineering from the University of Minho (Portugal) and an MSc in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (Brazil), providing him with a strong foundation in numerical modelling across various engineering disciplines.Throughout his career, Wagner has shown a steadfast commitment to pushing the boundaries of engineering. His expertise covers a wide range of fields, characterised by innovative research contributions and a passion for addressing complex scientific and technical challenges.As a CFD & Simulation Engineer at HyLab, Wagner plays a key role in Portugal's mission to develop competitive solutions for green hydrogen storage, transport, and distribution. He employs advanced simulation techniques to tackle issues related to hydrogen infrastructure and to support sustainable energy systems.In his PhD research, Wagner developed a computational framework for simulating and optimising the Extrusion Blow Moulding (EBM) process for producing hollow parts. This project involved multiphysics simulations that integrated viscoelastic multiphase fluid flow, hyperelastic membrane formulations, surface contact problems, Lagrangian descriptions, heat transfer, and thermal contraction, thereby enhancing the understanding and application of polymers in industry.Wagner combines his academic background with practical research experience to deliver innovative solutions. His extensive knowledge of Continuum Mechanics, Physics, and programming equips him to effectively address complex engineering challenges.
