I always believed in hard work, practice and with right leadership intervention, one can groom anyone to success in life. I did my schooling and college in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu in one of the most admired institutes like “Mani Higher Secondary School” and “PSG Institute of Technology”. These institutes gave me the knowledge and guidance which helped me to step into my first career “Asian Paints” via campus interview. Journey in “Asian Paints” was all about learning. Technology to Business process, team work to leadership, politics to fun, everything I wanted to learn I gained in this wonderful organization. This organization not only gave me professional colleagues but also lots of personal friends. I started my SAP career in Asian Paints and never stopped leaving SAP till date (almost 24 years into SAP career in different roles). Moved on to “IBM”, which is another steppingstone for exploring the world, picking various leadership roles, and stabilizing my SAP career. Lots of mentors during my 11+ years in IBM. They gave me opportunity to showcase my delivery skills, operations management, and people management skills. Learnt a lot about people during my tenure in IBM. IBM introduced me to Shell as a client. The experience to work with Shell, which never ever gave me a feeling of me working as contractor. I was part of Shell family already. Getting experience of Downstream business process, Global technology delivery and SAP @scale. Then moved on to “Ajax Fiori”, completely a different role to manage, end to end Information Technology for the organization. Implementing mobile solutions, analytics platform, business process simplifications via digitization’s, what not. Ajax Fiori gave me the flexibility to deliver value via various technological solutions. Shell friends brought me back into Shell as permanent employee in 2017. Shell as an organization first care about your Health, Safety, Security and creates a great environment for you to work peacefully. Shell culture makes one to work passionately every day. Caring for people, making sure the work life balance is not impacted and helping you grow. These are things which can’t be matched in many organizations. Flexibility, transparency, leadership, and the list keep growing on what I get @Shell. It has been 7+ years in Shell and I am still learning from my leaders, my peers, my team, and my mentors. Overall, it has been a great journey till date, and I have never left my hard work and utilized all the help I get from different people. I never ever stopped learning.
