Senior Financial Analyst
Current1. Work closely with the Manager, FP&A, to develop and implement the annual budget process thatHospital departments administer, including development of overall balancing principles, tools andtemplates required for budget submission.2. Actively supported multiple Ministry funded programs. Collaborated with Program Managers to develop financial models for business cases requesting funding. Set up the financial and statistical accounts in the financial system in accordance with the funding requirements and Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards (OHRS) mandate. 3. Assist in month-end financial close of multiple federally and provincially funded programs by postingaccruals and adjusting journal entries to reflect the true status of the programs in internal and externalreports.4. Identify and research specific/unusual items in the financial and statistical information, working closely with Decision Support and Hospital operational departments. Validate reporting, both financial and statistical, in line with Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards (OHRS).5. Provide feedback and analysis to Hospital departments on monthly financial and statistical results.6. Preparation of working papers for the annual financial statement audit and Ministry reporting, as required. 8. Preparation of Ministry required financial reports on a timely basis, in coordination with Hospital Managers and Directors. Maintain working papers that support the preparation of the Ministry submissions to ensure continuity and consistency.9. Prepare and analyze various monthly/quarterly/annual statistical reports.10. Maintain current knowledge of Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards (OHRS) and work with the Manager, Budget & Reporting and Director of Finance to ensure Hospital compliance.11.Modelled a tool for Program Managers to keep track of program surplus/deficit. Implemented a project to rid the GL of unused accounts to improve data integrity and reporting accuracy.
