Ganesh Krishnan is a Senior Principal Engineer with more than 25 years of experience in water resources and geoenvironmental engineering with a focus on design engineering, regulatory compliance, and programmatic support for public- and private-sector clients. On behalf of clients, Ganesh leads teams from planning through design and construction of projects that range from remediation and restoration of contaminated sites through new infrastructure. Ganesh offers clients the benefit of his technical expertise in urban drainage master planning, stormwater best management practices (BMPs), erosion and sediment control, floodplain and floodway evaluations, steep terrain hydrology and hydraulics, flood-risk and climate-change adaptation, and waste containment systems. A few examples of his work include: providing programmatic environmental compliance support for one of the largest home-builders in the United States and one of the world’s largest commercial retailers; stormwater master planning and retrofitting for Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia; design of an onsite waste-disposal facility for low-level radioactive waste from the demolition of the US Department of Energy’s Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Piketon, Ohio; design of groundwater recharge techniques for urban park system in Roswell, Georgia in collaboration with the US EPA; and leading a climate-change flood-risk study to support the engineering design for a liquified natural gas plant in Fujairah, UAE. A Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) and a Georgia Certified Level I and II Trainer for Erosion and Sediment Control, Ganesh has led workshops to help clients understand and manage construction NPDES compliance. He also supports litigation related to water resources and other environmental issues.In addition to serving clients, Ganesh has also served on the Board of Directors of Geosyntec, and currently serves on Geosyntec’s Diversity Council.
