As part of the landscape team at EDP, I provide planning advice for a broad range of landscape-based services, including Landscape and Visual Appraisals and Impact Assessments, EIA, Landscape Masterplans, Landscape Strategies and Arboriculture.I also manage multi-disciplinary projects with inputs relating to masterplanning, ecological, arboricultural and archaeological and heritage issues, which can challenge development in the UK planning context. I liaise closely with colleagues of different expertise to provide high quality, bespoke advice every time.I have undertaken Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments across a variety of projects with a landscape led approach. This has required me to guide the wider consultant team and manage my client expectations to the appropriate landscape response. I also collaborate, present and promote our clients sites to statutory consultees such as; Parish Councils, Planning Authorities, National Park and AONB Officers. I have also attended and facilitated public consultation events for our clients. I have undertaken local landscape and estate wide Landscape Character assessments including sensitivity and capacity appraisals within sensitive landscapes such as National Parks. I routinely undertake detailed testing of development proposals and landscape capacity studies with extensive use of GIS techniques. I have also undertaken Green Belt Reviews with reference to the NPPF para 80 tests.
