I am an experienced head chef and manager with knowledge in both the Business/Industry and education sectors and the MoD. I served 5 years in the Royal Air Force as a chef where I gained experience of bulk batch cooking and leading teams to cater formal functions. My more recent management roles have given me skills to work with suppliers when creating menus, planning functions and lessons, budgeting and leadership. Teamwork is of critical importance in commercial catering as this can be highly pressurised environment, but I also strongly encourage my junior chefs to use their initiative and their creativity. Passing on my knowledge, nurturing talent, encouraging passion in the kitchen and ensuring skills enhancement are some of the most rewarding aspects of my role.
