Internally promoted to the position of Group Financial Controller at Fletcher Building from August 2013.Reporting to the GM Finance & Performance, responsible for group accounting and external reporting.Key achievements:- Lifted the quality of key external reporting documents: Management Commentary and Financial Statements.- Built a new corporate and treasury accounting team with a strong internal customer focus.- Led one of the largest external audit tender processes in recent years.- Launched and maintained an extensive internal professional education series.- Published a comprehensive group accounting policy manual reflecting an industry-focussed interpretation of NZ IFRS.- 11 Direct Reports.

My principal role as Group Accounting Manager was to ensure the quality of the external financial reporting of the Group and of all financial reporting to the Group's Audit & Risk Committee. Reporting to the Group Controller at that time, my areas of expertise included IFRS, financial reporting, taxation and treasury accounting.

Lead Director on a number of private and public (NZX) listed international group audits. Hands-on experience of a range of industries: Manufacturing, Retail & Consumer, Primary industries, Media and Tourism.

Secondment during 2011 from PwC to Fletcher Building.Responsible for leading the acquisition accounting requirements following a NZ$1bn acquisition of the Crane Group by way of cash and shares.
