Joined the Creative Services team at Wise Management Services in Hamilton to develop and maintain custom-built web applications. I was the put on the project to develop the Te Pou Grants Portal (https://grantsportal.tepou.co.nz) Worked closely with business analysts and key project stakeholders to deliver a comprehensive tool to manage the various processes regarding the grants offered by Te Pou. This system has been built using ASP.net MVC and Web API, C#, Entity Framework, JavaScript (Type Script) and hosted on Microsoft’s Azure cloud services. • Designed and built the architecture with clear abstractions between the model, data access, logic, API and presentation layers.• Layers can be individually tested with the use of unit tests and mock data.• Strong adherence to the SOLID OO design principles and the use of multiple design patterns including, repositories, unit of work, factories, builder patterns.• Use of Ninject IoC container to easily switch data sources between mock data and database data.• Implemented Azure’s deployment slots to host test instances and deploy from source control.• Batch Processing is done with Azure Webjobs• Able to work within tight deadlines and deliver key milestones on time

Gijima is one of South Africa’s leading Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Services. I was contracted to Hulamin, a large, listed organisation. Hulamin is a leading, mid-stream aluminium semi-fabricator. I was the lead developer of the Hulamin Finished Goods and Logistics development team with my primary responsibilities relating to the design and development of enterprise-level systems for the management and dispatch of Hulamin’s finished goods, both locally and in Hulamins foreign warehouses. During my time at Hulamin I worked on a number of high profile projects, with my contributions involving:• Working in close cooperation with project managers and key business stakeholders to gather requirements• Producing work effort estimations and project schedules• Creating workflow diagrams, designing data models and application interfaces• Development and testing of complex enterprise level systems • Deployment of systems through formal change management procedures.• Design, develop, code, test, implement and support software applications in line with Hulamin’s business needs• Maintenance and development of legacy VB6 systems
