About Gareth P.

I'm a technology nerd 🤓 who accidentally became a business owner.It all started right here in Fort Smith, where I built my first computer with help from John at JPC Computer Center. That first spark of seeing technology work exactly as it should is the reason I'm still into technology today.Fast forward a few decades and D-Best Technologies has hundreds of clients - some of whom have trusted me with their technology for over 20 years. We've built something that feels more like a family than a business. So, what gets me excited? Being the superhero when disaster strikes. 🦸‍♂️ Whether it's battling ransomware, reviving a failed server, or helping a business recover from a bad IT experience, I love turning chaos into calm. When I'm not saving the day at work, you'll find me tinkering with AI, and programming 🤖 - I'm particularly proud of CallSmart, an AI call analytics platform that I coded from scratch, and ChatSmart, our custom AI chat interface. I'm currently having a blast fine-tuning AI models - I've even trained image generation models to make pictures of myself (check out my cover image!).
