Duties include, but not limited to; - Arranging and assisting in the chairing of the Design Team meetings, leading the process with the consultants and sub contract designers, issuing minutes and ensuring the resulting actions are actioned - Collate and manage the contract specifications, drawings and related documents for the construction process - Carry out technical reviews of any proposed works to ensure contractual and technical compliance - Assist in the preparation and management of the Design and procurement schedule and issue information release schedules to set design target dates - Offer input and design reviews in to the procurement process Working closely with the Construction Manager and site teams

Nottingham HUB Station - 2013 to 2014: At Nottingham Station Garfield has been responsible for the full development of both a temporary ticket office facility (brought into use in early 2013), as well as for a full station re-working of all signage and wayfinding requirements working with Network Rail and East Midlands Trains.London Bridge Station Shard Concourse building - 2009 to 2012: Garfield was a senior member of a 4-strong architectural team working with the Renzo Piano Building Workshop in developing all aspects of the new terminating concourse building that sits at the base of the Shard Tower serving London Bridge Station. Designs were developed from RIBA Stage C through to full works on site. Garfield became a significant member of the site team working directly with Sellar Properties, Network Rail and MACE, the contractors.LU Step Free Access projects - 2005 to 2009: Garfield worked on a number of feasibility, scheme and detailed design works to deliver Step free access projects for London Underground through the Approved Suppliers route. P+W worked directly for Taylor Woodrow in developing these studies. Projects typically included studies at Baker Street, Queensway, South Kensington and Tower Bridge stations. These studies included a full review of all passenger routes from pavement to platform.St Pancras International CTRL Station - 2005 to 2007: Garfield worked as a Project Leader for P+W client CORBER in developing design work for the St Pancras International CTRL station in London which opened to acclaim in November 2007. Comprising full refurbishment of the Grade 1 Listed St Pancras station also the significant new train shed extension north of the existing Barlow Shed. Responsible for design compliance checks on heritage design elements and completion of additional architectural information to the sub-package designers. His scope of works included all restoration and renewal works to the Grade 1 listed fabric of the existing station.
