I have progressed my role at HLP and have become their youngest ever Project Manager. This role involves me dealing with a number of clients managing the unique requirements of each of these to ensure each and every project runs smoothly, on time and on budget. Dealing and interacting at board level on a daily basis with directors, managers and owners of a variety of limited companies, national organisations, school head teachers and board of governors. This job requires me to work to a very strict set of procedures in a meticulous manner to ensure no detail is missed or overlooked. Whilst maintaining the core of my degree, I still oversee the cost and financial elements of projects across the business. Providing feasibility/budget costs through to full cost control.Notable projects include opening retail units on Oxford Street, Stratford Westfield and Canary Wharf Crossrail Station Retail Mall to name but a few, with others stretching the length and breadth of the country.

I started at HLP during my time at university to gain an understanding of the industry and further develop both my studies and professional career.During my time as Project Co-ordinator I worked alongside a number of national retail clients tightly managing fit out and refresh program budgets throughout the contract period as well as providing budget costings at acquisition stage. As well as been involved with the companies retail clients, my degree in Quantity Surveying led me to also work with the educational clients providing outline costs and budget for funding applications and budgetary requirements. My broad involvement across the companies client base enabled my role to diversify. This lead me to start working more on client/project management.

Great Barr Birmingham

Working as part of a small yet talented team of IT professionals, I was one of four responsible for the schools multi-million pound network infrastructure which was overhauled from scratch during my time at Q3. General duties included providing maintenance and repair of the new and existing network as well as providing support to both staff and students. Whilst at Q3 I developed my knowledge of how to mange troubleshoot and diagnose common and complex problems faced not only on a large company network but also facing the challenges of being in an educational environment.

I worked in a number a various admin roles at Dartmouth High School which I had to fit in and around my studies. This included general clerical and administrative duties, handing of cash, dealing with pupils, parents and staff in person, via telephone or via email.
