Production & Drilling Supervisor For California OperationsCallon Petroleum Co. Feb 1982 - Jun 1984Callon hired me to head up their California operations, develop a joint venture steam flood project at Pyramid Hills, drill and develop the Cameo Ranch properties and to supervise Tosco as operator of Callon's field operations in the Jasmin field. I negotiated water rights with local farmer and worked with local attorneys to draft a contract for same. Negotiated drilling contracts and drilled two three thousand foot (3,000') holes in the Jasmine field. Purchased pumping units and materials to put the wells on production. Built temporary production and waste water facilities.Worked closely with consultants in area for technical advice.

Senior Production SupervisorGulf Oil Exploration & Production Oct 1979 - Feb 1982I supervised the construction of Gulf's North West Fruitvale fireflood, a twelve million dollar ($12,000,000) project. This project consisted of the construction of the production facilities and compressor plant. Prior to this project I worked in the production dept. supervising all field operations, workovers and the completion of wells. Supervised all of the modifications on production facilities, steam generators and waste water systems. After the fireflood project, I worked briefly in the drilling dept.

SuperintendentCentury Oil Management Aug 1975 - Oct 1979I reported to the vice president and managed the complete Bakersfield operations which consisted of five different leases. They were all heavy oil (12 gravity crude) cyclic steaming operations. Responsibilities included the profitability of these leases and the entire operation. Worked with field engineers on steaming and production forecasting. Was instrumental along with field engineers in creation of a steam flood operation that doubled the production.Production ForemanI worked under the field Superintendent and supervised the compete North Kern Front field. Operations consisted of forty (40) company employees, two well pulling rig crews, three (3) roustabout crews, three (3) steam generator operators, lease operators, lab techs, tanker truck operators and auto / truck mechanic. Supervised the installation of steam generators, tank farm facilities, waste water plants and gauging / well testing units.Foreman DrillingI supervised the drilling of some forty (40) wells in the North Kern Front field by contractor rigs. I was responsible for building the locations, running flow lines, drilling the wells, setting casing, setting pumping and putting well on production.

Production ForemanI was one of six foreman that supervised the production of 120,000 barrels per day of 35 gravity flowing oil in the Sahara Desert. Each foreman was assigned a Libyan production foreman trainee who served as an interpreter in the supervision of some two hundred native company employees. -

Mar 1973 - Jun 1974Supervised the operations in the Santa Maria field of five hundred (500) barrels per day of production.Challenges of this field are: heavy oil, (8) to (10) gravity and depths of 5000 to 8000 feet. Very big rod floating problems associated with this operation. It was our task to over come issues and maintain production.
