Hello everyone, my name is Garrett Thompson. I am a Reno Nevada local, and my professional background has been full of many different fields of expertise. From my 8 years in the United States Marine Corps as a diesel mechanic, where I was able to challenge myself physically, learn great leadership skills, and work alongside many great individuals from all across the United States. With a successful transition from military life to a full-time student that became a personal trainer while studying at the University of Nevada, Reno for my Master of Science in Finance. Then became a Financial Advisor, and now a Financial Operations Manager/Financial Planning Analyst. My life thus far has taken me down many avenues and some of those aspirations and skills have grown greatly each time.Something that has been instilled with me throughout those professional journeys of my life is to be able to always challenge yourself whether it be physically, mentally, creatively, etc. These challenges bring forth growth, skills, and knowledge. However, the one thing I enjoy most is being able to learn from others and be able to teach others through my experiences and their own to help each other grow.
