Served as a software engineer responsible for building and maintaining proprietary geoscience applications, as well as extending the functionality of vendor products through add-ins. Experiences involved working on desktop applications with C#, C++, WPF, and more.

I worked alongside a team of developers developing for a proprietary high performance computing application. We utilized agile methodologies throughout summer, and I gained experience with and insight into scheduling theory, memory analysis/optimization, GUI design/implementation, and API design/implementation. Primarily worked in C++.

-- September 2014 - May 2015I worked to extend, configure, and validate the GPGPU-Sim GPU simulator for an NVIDIA TITAN GPU with a focus on DVFS settings and GPU power/energy output. I regularly worked with CUDA, and have a familiarity with GPU architecture.-- September 2013 - May 2014 I worked with Dr. Patricia J. Teller on a case study of a High Performance Systems (HPC) tool called PerfExpert. It was there that I performed work relating to program evaluation and optimization.

I evaluated an implementation of a proposed obstacle-avoidance algorithm designed for large autonomous ground vehicles. I also sought to identify opportunities for parallelization and optimization, and achieved a 35% speedup for the given implementation.

I participated in an 8-week internship at the Army High Performance Computing Research Center (AHPCRC) Summer Institute.I received instruction on topics that included overviews of C and Python, Computational Meshes and Simulations using Clusters, Subdivision Surfaces, Optimization, Parallel Programming, and Discrete Math.I also researched with other undergraduates under Dr. Ron Fedkiw of Stanford and implemented a Real-Time 3D Physics Simulation on an Android tablet. I was awarded "Best Project" from the institute.

I maintained Coronado High School's school website by updating content, redesigning and optimizing pages, and building additional websites for school sports teams. I worked extensively with HTML and Microsoft Sharepoint.
