Providing advice on capital, liquidity, balance sheet structure and profitability as well as financial reporting and audit.I have over two decade's experience as a consulting actuary covering pensions, insurance and banking. I take the big-picture view of the balance sheet across assets and liabilities, and how best to manage risk in an ALM framework. I drive overall balance sheet strategy taking account of profitability, capital and liquidity. Quantitative analysis and modelling, translated into real-world implications is key to my approach. Within banking, I have carried out a number of financial modelling projects covering liquidity (ILAA) and Capital (ICAAP) stress testing and risk management. In pensions, I have specific expertise in modelling the capital requirements from banks and insurers own staff pension schemes. I have also provided specialist actuarial support to the audit function at two of the big four audit firms.I enjoy leading and growing teams, especially sharing my experience with junior staff, helping them develop as their careers evolve.
