May 2008 until October 2011 - front line response policing duties in the City of Calgary. From October 2011 until June 2017 I performed the role of Liaison Officer for the Caribbean and Latin American communities in Calgary. This was followed by a period of policing the downtown core and surrounding area, and also as the Administration Sergeant for the area. Then as a Sergeant I moved to work in our Arrest Processing Section from July 2018 until August 2021.

The Arrest Processing Section is the Calgary Police Service facility where detainees, who cannot be released by officers in the field, are held until they can appear before a Justice of the Peace for their bail hearing. With my team, I am responsible for their admission, processing, care, well-being, medical and legal requirements during their time with us.
