Having Left school in 1985 I pursued a career in Computing working for, Texas Instruments, Unisys and NBI. While in this industry I held varying positions from Network/Hardware engineer to Unix System Administrator. In 1992 I changed career paths and joined Bedfordshire Police. Over the next 17 years I held varying positions within the police service from Street Constable to Neighbourhood Policing Implementation Sergeant. In early 2009 I emigrated to Alberta Canada with my family and joined the Calgary Police Service. Whilst with Calgary I have been responsible for running one of the Satellite Police Stations in the South west of the City. This role required the management of 50 community volunteers as well as providing the policing services for the area.I have also been a Forensic Crime Scene Specialist / Investigator. A role which requires the investigation of major and volume crime within the city of Calgary.After 25 yrs of front line based policing I am now working in the Business Excellence Department of Calgary Police Service. working on computer based solutions for the current policing model. To include Records Management and integration of departments electronically.
