Gary Bean Gary has over forty year of experience in the Automotive Aftermarket. He began his career with Downey Automotive, Inc. and his experiences include being an independent jobber with 2 stores and a retail high performance speed shop in Chattanooga, TN. Gary sold his stores and became the Southeastern VP of Store Operations for AI Automotive / Middle Atlantic Warehouse Distributors (MAWDI). After leaving MAWDI, Gary then took a position as the Sr VP of Marketing for Independent Auto Parts of America (IAPA). In 2000 Gary co-founded and served as Sr Vice President of Program Development and Marketing for MyRepairShop, Inc. based in Houston, TX. Gary led the development and planning for Friedkin Industry/Toyota that built a suite of internet-based technology and business management services for use by independent auto repair centers. Over the past decades Gary has helped to build and manage loyalty banner programs for Uni-Select, IAPA, CSK/O’Reilly, Advance Auto Parts, NASCAR and many others via his company Marketing Management Partners, LLC. (MMP) Gary has a full understanding of the marketing challenges from the manufacturer all the way to the repair shop and has helped many of these companies build and expand their commercial business. MMP is a faith-based companyGary is also President/Co-Owner of Installed Parts Group, LLC (IPG), a company that manages national account supply partner relationships for the Tire Pros, Activate and ServiceBay programs. These are customer support programs for Independent Tire Dealers that are customers of American Tire Distributors, Inc. To support these programs IPG maintains a full suite of technology products ranging from data warehousing, custom dashboards, and a rewards points platform. IPG is a faith-based company.Looking back:Adding to his many accomplishments Gary is a forward thinker that looks at problems as a potential oppertunity to rethink or create something new for the industry. In the early days of electronic cataloging, Gary and his team helped catalog providers receive data from automotive parts manufactures which fueled the catalog that is used today.
