As the Senior Engineering Officer in Afghanistan I provided the Commander and force units the single point of contact for assurance and all Equipment Support related matters. This included setting the Equipment Capability/Equipment Support priorities, policy and direction, ensuring equipment availability was aligned to meet the operational demand. Monitoring equipment availability to enable and support operations and redeployment, provide technical advice for all units and coordinate, control and conduct Equipment Capability Inspections & assurance visits.
