Gary Chastain began his career in plastics as a tool maker in 1981. He came to RJG, Inc. in 2002 from Hobbs Corporation, where he was responsible for the following:• Production tooling and determining in-plant specifications • Validating and purchasing new automation equipment • Training all the employees in the tool room and plastics processing area• Writing training manuals and operating procedures for all the equipment he was responsible forGary has had extensive training in machining and failure mode and effect analysis. He has done numerous mold and machine tryouts for tool builders, is a Six Sigma Green Belt, and has spent time in Japan studying and training to be a trainer in Japanese style management. He has also been responsible for startups and reorganizations at new facilities, where he oversaw the planning and implementation phases of each. Gary is qualified to teach all of RJG’s training courses. He also performs in-plant evaluations and does consulting for developing comprehensive training programs for RJG customers.
