Gary Clark retired from the Air Force in 1993.Commissioned in 1967 through ROTC from Kansas State University, he saw service in multiple worldwide assignments. During the Vietnam War he had in theater assignments with Task Force Alpha, the 56th Special Operations Wing and Headquarters 7th Air Force. He was Combat Support Group Commander of the 487th Tactical Missile Wing, in Italy under NATO control. He saw action during Desert Shield/Desert Storm as General Schwarzkopf’s combat personnel plans director with the United States Central Command deployed in theater. After retiring from the Air Force, he served as the Civil Service Director and Retirement System Director for the City of Lakeland and is currently a financial advisor with CPS Investment Advisors financial firm. He holds a master’s degree in operations research from the Air Force Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Kansas State University. He is a graduate of Air Command and Staff College and the National Defense University.He served on the National Board of Directors of the Military Officers Association of America, a Director of the Florida Veterans Foundation, a Director of the Florida Public Pension Trustees Association, a Director of the Career Force Board and Chairs the Polk County Veterans Council in addition to other boards and organizations. Experienced Board Member with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit organization management industry. Skilled in Crisis Management, Nonprofit Organizations, Business Planning, Analytical Skills, and Operations Management. Strong business development professional with a Master's degree focused in Diplomacy and Strategy from National War College.
