Part-Time Staff Instructor responsible for facilitating and instructing in-service & continued training to certifed law enforcement personnel and basic recruit training to academy police recruits, as well as conducting specialized LEO training classes.

After retiring with over 31-years of combined military and law enforcement service, I decided I would try my hand at operating a small business, with the mission of providing comprehensive, innovative, functional and defensible training available in support of law enforcement, government, military, corporate and individual entities seeking a practical and applied sense of organizational and or personal security. Rubicon Solutions offers formalized instruction in the multi-faceted arenas of firearms, empty-hand combatives, and individual and team tactics, with the additional service of conducting Risk/Threat Assessments, to meet the physical and or personal security needs of our customers.

Currently hold an Adjunct Faculty Instructor position with Florida State College at Jacksonville, specializing in law enforcement general and high-liability (Firearms/Defensive Tactics) instruction for police recruits, police in-service training and adult education programs. Knowledgeable in the planning and writing phases of adult education courses. Have personally written and facilitated numerous advanced and or Specialized risk management and tactical operations courses, e.g., Dignitary/Witness Protective Operations Program, High-Risk Prisoner Transport Program, Police Marksman/Observer Program, Advanced Edged Weapons Combatives Program and more, all of which had received the approval of the FSCJ Regional Criminal Justice Center and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. I have also maintained all necessary certifications needed to continue to remain active in my position as an adjunct faculty instructor with the FSCJ.
