Privileged to lead a talented team of 13 procurement officers responsible for the acquisition of Government of Canada‘s cyber security requirements.

The Procurement Modernization Execution team has been created primarily to provide SSC Procurement and Policy Managers with a main point of contact to collaborate, share ideas and provide feedback on the Procurement Modernization activities being undertaken at SSC, and within the Government of Canada.The main focus of the PME will be supporting the Procurement Modernization mandate delegated by the Prime Minster to the Minister of Public Services of Procurement.The PME team will be working cross-functionally with SSC Policy Governance Engagement and Training (PGET), Business Systems and the all SSC Procurement teams to drive the roll-out of Agile procurement pilot initiatives to support and encourage more effective collaboration with SSC partners by approaching modernization projects with small steps, at a fast pace, while assessing and addressing lessons learned along the way.The goals of the PME team are to; -Identify, review and implement procurement modernization initiatives which are the best fit for SSC; -Monitor outcomes and lessons learned from the procurement modernization pilots; and -Collaborate with all stakeholders to assist with the evolution of the SSC/PVR processes, directives and procedures in support of improvements which can be applied for future procurements.

Presently leading the collaborative procurement process for the Workplace Communication Services transformation initiative, as well as creating innovative professional services contracting vehicles. Also tasked with purchasing hardware and software requirements when requested.

Highlights included; winning the 2014 GTEC Award for 'Excellence in Collaboration' with my client Citizenship and Immigration Canada for the Temporary Resident Biometrics Project, helping to implement and manage Canada's first ever global Visa Application Centre Network and helping the Royal Canadian Mounted Police continue to deliver on their mandate of investigating and preventing crime, maintaining peace and order and enforcing laws through the Automated Fingerprint Identification System.
