Part-time Customer Advisor at Argos. Due to store dynamic, I work in almost all areas of the store; Tills, Jewellery, Collection, Stockroom and Customer Services. I am a ‘Colleague Feedback Representative’ and the stores ‘Health and Safety Champion’. I am proficient with the computer system ‘Aura’ and use of voice recognition headsets. I attend regional meetings, take part in conference calls and do my best to make sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. As a result, our store is Platinum for spending and the top store in our region. Our priority is to provide a great shopper experience for our Customers.

Voluntary work as a Bench Joiner with this social enterprise charity helping people with disabilities by facilitating and supporting them to develop new skills, building on their self-confidence and self-esteem, helping them achieve their maximum potential. With this client group I produced outdoor furniture and chunky tables, whilst using a myriad of machinery and hand tools. This experience honed my teaching and supervisory skills. It was very rewarding and I also gained a sense of pride.

Grey Squirrel Control Officer, responsible for taking biological samples, maintaining accurate records of daily worksheets, vehicle mileage and captures. Setting up, monitoring and closing traps. Liaising with landowners and tenants to obtain permission for access and sitting of the traps. Obtaining bait and working within Menter Môn's procedures and environmental laws. Working towards making Ynys Môn a Red Squirrel sanctuary.

Responsible for preparing, installing, fixing and finishing windows, doors and conservatories. The role involved working as a Joiner in a small team or on an individual basis as the work dictated. I gained valuable experience in helping with many construction jobs too. Occasionally the use of initiative was necessary to amend contracts with clients in order to complete jobs to the British Standards of practice. In these situations, communication skills were paramount and my diplomacy and conduct with the public has been most noteworthy.
