Gary Davis was most recently the Director of Development at Mack Real Estate Group, overseeing all of the firm’s development projects. He is a licensed architect and urban planner and directed the conceptualization, design, pre-development and construction for over 2000 apartments in New York, Miami, LA and Seattle. For 7 years prior to joining MREG, Mr. Davis was a founding Partner at Urban Development Partners where he focused on the development of multi-family high rise projects in NYC and Philadelphia. Prior to forming UDP, Mr. Davis was Executive Vice President for the Athena Group for eight years where he managed the development of all projects including the iconic 111 Central Park North. Before joining Athena, Mr. Davis was Executive Vice President of Development for Ian Schrager Hotels, responsible for the design, development and pre-construction of the both the Hudson Hotel and the St. Moritz hotels in NYC. Mr. Davis spent 11 years as SVP of Development at Edward J. Minskoff Equities, a New York based real estate acquisition and Development Company, and 6 years as a principal in the architectural design firm of Pilat Davis Architects, in NYC. Prior to forming Pilat Davis Architects, Mr. Davis was a project architect for Eisenman Robertson Architects in New York. His professional experience also includes work for Gwathmey Siegel and Philip Johnson Architects. Mr. Davis received his B.A. from Wesleyan University and a Masters in Architecture from Princeton University. He was awarded the Master's Thesis Award from Princeton along with full tuition, teaching fellowship, and the Butler Traveling Fellowship. Mr. Davis has lectured in the Case Studies Studio in the Master's of Real Estate Program at Columbia Univ. and taught real estate development at the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate.
