My role at Wren Kitchens is to maintain the Server and IT infrastructure, ensuring efficient running of business critical systems with minimal service disruption. In the 5+ years I've been with Wren I've been involved in many large scale projects, including the roll-out of many of our 61 Showrooms and the planning and setup of our flagship 750,000sqm HQ in Barton. Senior IT Support Engineer for Wren Kitchens at their 750,000sqm HQ in Barton-upon-Humber. In this role I supported over 1800 employees both On-Site and across the Country in any one of our 51 Showrooms, Offices, Warehouses or Manufacture Production Plants.Managing the Help Desk and acting as an escalation point for the IT Support Team, who provide Support, both on and off-site, answering all Support queries via Telephone, email and ticketing system. I delegated and prioritised Business critical requirements, while maintaining a high degree of customer service for all support queries, while adhering to all Management principles.With good experience and a complete understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DFS. LAN, WAN and VPN Technologies, including Firewalls, Kaspersky Endpoint Protection and Symantec Backup Exec. Remote support tools, RDP (Remote Desktop), VNC, LogMeIn, TeamViewer and Citrix GoToAssist.Installing and configuring Windows Server, 2003 – 2012 R2. Virtual Technologies including HyperV, VMware and Oracle VirtualBox.Configuring Cisco Routers and Switches, Routing, VLANs and Port Security.Supporting, configuration and deployment of a VoIP telephony system, over SIP and ISDN, utilising the Mitel 3300 Controller, MBG, IVR Routing and ACD systems.Using and writing PowerShell scripts for automating tasks and processes for end to end automation on Client and Server Systems with integration between AD, Exchange and Office 365.

I provided 1st and 2nd line IT Support for both Ebuyer.com and Wren Kitchens supporting 33 showrooms and two large Office sites. During this role I completed a number of large scale projects for both Companies and rolled out new remote sites. Supporting various platforms including Win XP, Win 7, Win 8, Server 2003, 2008, 2008R2 and Apple MAC OSX, included Terminal Services and Thin Clients. Managed Active directory, DNS, DFS and deployed software using Group Policy and SCCM. Ensuring prompt, professional, and efficient service for over 1100 users

In this role I provided Technical assistance and advice, supporting customers via inbound calls and other electronic communication, Identifying customer's reason for return and acknowledging opportunities to provide technical support to customers with an aim to avoid products from being returned by using Citrix (Remote Management) tools and internal message systems. The Technical queries I dealt with on a daily basis included, network configurations, driver and software installations along with data back-up and data transfers, this was across various platforms, Windows, Mac and Linux environments. The role involved mainly 1st line support to a variety of different IT knowledge levels, using VM’s (Virtual Machines) to map more elusive technical issues. I did this while achieving department objectives in line with the corporate strategy and vision while continuously improving my knowledge base of the 70,000 Products we supplied. While in this role I often achieved the employee of the month status.

I worked as a Broadband Technician offering 1st line Technical Support within a large Telecoms Company. I was responsible for diagnosing and then resolving Network, Hardware, Software and Driver related faults. I supported customers across the Country and offered advice when required. On a day-to-day basis I would deal with various faults such as: Network related Broadband issues, ranging from customers unable to connect or utilise the Broadband service to capacity and resolving no sync issues. Core Platform issues: Including webmail, general email and authentication servers. I provided support on all makes and models of ADSL equipment, including the setup and Installation of Routers, Switches, Modems and Wireless Networks. I have a good understanding of ADSL (Asymmetric digital subscriber line) from the Exchange right up to the master socket.
