Installs, maintains and supports the Peoria Unified School District (PUSD) networks associated with workstations and computer laboratory software, hardware and peripheral equipment. Provides technical support, troubleshooting, repair and installation of personal computers and MAC at individual and computer laboratory workstations for the PUSD. Responds to calls for assistance; travels to work sites; assesses, diagnoses, analyzes problems and troubleshoots and tests alternative methods for support and connectivity. Configures software, hardware and operating stations. Changes out hardware, software on site or brings into shop when indicated. Hardware EX: Desktops, Laptops, Tablets, Projectors, Document Cameras, SMARTBOARDS, Wireless Devices and any and all new equipment implemented by PUSD. Troubleshoot patch cables and network cabling. Maintains files, records and databases of maintenance logs, work orders, supply inventory, materials and tools utilized in the support of the workstations. Establishes and maintains student and staff operating systems file locations. Installs, configures and maintains peripheral network equipment

Responsible for planning and executing IS projects to meet customer expectations, deadlines and budgets. Includes: managing stakeholder expectations, acquiring resources, coordinating team members and third party consultants, and proactively managing risks and issues to deliver projects according to plan. Define the project objectives, requirements and scope and oversee quality control throughout the project assuring a smooth transition to production operations. Contribute to ongoing development and support including IT governance, portfolio management, project intake, methodology, coaching and training of Project team leads, and project standards and policies. Oversee the implementation of computer system applications both new and revised. Perform reviews of current computer systems and methods related to their relationship to new project implementation. Oversee preparation of project plans including budget, time lines, hardware/ Software acquisitions, personal requirements, etc. Provide direction to personnel regarding application impact testing preparation for installations, etc. Assist departmental users during project implementation phase. Conduct project status meetings to define and resolve issues involving project activity. Study and remains current on health industries software and hardware advancements Provides Current information on SHC management and users. Supervise personnel assigned to a project. Plans, establishes and revises work assignments. Interviews, selects and recommends hiring of outsourced personnel. Work with product vendors to obtain pricing prioritization’s scheduling of software customization and other vendor supplied services. Provide bi-weekly project status reports to Director – Information Services addressing project status, issues and budget. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
