We build fine synthetic turf based projects, primarily golf greens but also lawns, pet turf, play areas, and the occasional special project that can be very interesting and challenging. Starting with the area franchise of Southwest Greens in June of 2005 the business grew as far as a franchise limitation would allow, although I loved being affiliated with Nicklaus Design. Our highlights include building a green for the PGA Tour at the BMW Championship when it was in St. Louis, building a green over a swimming pool that had to be filled in, and building practice greens for several youngsters who went on to win high school championships and play college golf. We designed, sold, and installed home electronics such as home theater systems, whole house audio, satellite, networks, etc. to primarily residential clients. Most of our projects were undertaken as the clients home was under construction although remodeling projects were a significant part of the business. Midwest Region Working From Toshiba'S Chicago Office

With Toshiba I worked with our major accounts in four mid western states (IL - MO - KS - OK) and in four years I was able to grow sales by approximately 250%. We established distributors who represented Toshiba to the smaller accounts allowing me to concentrate on the larger accounts that had much more growth potential. That arrangement worked well for everybody. Krementz is a jewelry company so a bit of a departure as far as product is concerned but the company and my superiors impressed me during the interview process and it worked out well. I began with a territory consisting of parts of nine states cobled from parts of other territories that the sales people in place had not developed. After a couple years I gave up much of the rural parts of my original territory and took on Chicago. When the Krementz family sold our division to a competitor I returned to the electronics industry, joining Toshiba America Consumer Products. Show less

Coming out of college CMC was a great place to work. I got to work with very exciting products while making a good income in commissioned sales. I was promoted quickly to management and won several sales and manager of the month awards. I was the company's Manager of the Year in 1984 then promoted to District Management with responsibility for nine retail locations in St. Louis and four in Memphis.
