I was responsible for the day to day running of 4 workshops plus any sites. I ensured contracts were completed on time and to a high standard. My duties included delegating the daily tasks to the workforce along with pricing and estimating when required. I would chip in to help jobs along including painting and blasting, any heavy or unusual lifts I would.

I was responsible for estimating and winning contracts within the Oil and Gas sector. I ran blasting and painting workshops overseeing engineering workshops as well. I was in charge of quality control and company development. My companies services included manual and automated shot blasting for example working with manual blast pots of all sizes and many.

This firm was a steel fabricator to nuclear, offshore and petro-chemical industries. I worked on two pontoons (floating docks) for Nissan Motors. I undertook a range of welding including lifting lugs, vertical butts/fillets, overhead and downhand butts/fillets. All welds and steelwork were done to Lloyds specification. I tested out at 3G vertical butt.

I was responsible for welding various steel structural fabrications using Mig core fuse to 2G standard. Occasionally I used stick welding, and hydrogen rods. My duties also included plating, forklift driving on site and erecting the steelwork on site.

Working as a self-employed Welder I worked on various contracts throughout the North East. I was responsible for running maintenance on oil and gas supply vessels, repairing hold lids and decks. I also worked on contracts for MCB Fabrications my duties included MIG and Stick welding using Cats Steel Rods and Low Alloy Rods. I also worked on site at ICI.

Working mainly in the workshop I was responsible for welding heavy structure fabrication work plus site fabrication and erection. My duties included MIG and Stick welding and plating.
