For the past 38 years, I have been fortunate to experience what few people get to see – the best in human nature day in and day out. Whether it was watching a volunteer handing a bag of food to a neighbor in need, or a colleague spending however long it takes to help a caller, newly diagnosed with Parkinson’s, to navigate his health care and support options. I’ve been truly blessed to witness so much compassion. Growing up in a tight knit family of eight, I learned the importance of relationships and caring for one another in our struggles.
