Mr. Gilbert has been President of The Law Offices of Gary M. Gilbert & Associates, P.C. (now doing business as Gilbert Employment Law, P.C.) since its inception in 2005. Mr. Gilbert represents employees and employers before various courts, arbitration proceedings, and administrative agencies, including Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Federal Labor Relations Authority, and Office of Personnel Management . He served as Chief Administrative Judge with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Baltimore, Maryland for 15 years.Gary Gilbert has presented more than a thousand seminars, trainings, speeches and other presentations on various aspects of employment discrimination law and workplace rights and responsibility, and practice before the EEOC, MSPB, and other administrative forums. He has authored numerous texts on federal sector discrimination law, including treatises on compensatory damages, disability discrimination law, and an annual EEO Update, which summarizes recently published decisions of the EEOC. Mr. Gilbert is a member of the Labor and Employment Section of the Maryland Bar Association and sits on the Section Council. He is also a board member of the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association. He has written several articles for the Maryland Bar Journal, the Maryland Bar Labor and Employment Section Newsletter and the Florida Bar Journal.
