Emergency/Disaster Preparedness coordination with UP hospitals, Long Term Care, Public Health, Emergency Management, Tribes, other interested agencies. Affiliated with MDCH/Office of Healthcare Preparedness through a grant through the Assistant Secretary of Preparedness and Response. House the Region 8 Medical Coordination Center providing resources and supplies to facilities/communities during disaster situations, with additional resources provided through the Community Health Emergency Coordination Center in Lansing, along with the other 7 Healthcare Coalitions located throughout the state

Regional injury prevention outreach focusing on causes of most frequent injuries, both from regional data and national statistics. Worked with schools, hospitals, law enforcement, EMS, Senior Centers, TRIAD, RSVP, health departments and other agencies with a focus on senior health and wellness. Classroom presentations included topics such as safe street crossing, home safety, bike/helmet safety, winter walking, stranger safety, water safety, booster seat size up to name Agee. Provided senior fall awareness/prevention on senior centers throughout the region.
