I have 30 years of experience in Civil Engineering related to water and waste water projects; environmental compliance; and hazardous material management, including project development and design; permitting; estimating; reviewing plans and specifications; scheduling; bid negotiations; coordinating contractors and vendors; construction management; negotiating change orders; inspections; and project close out.I have been a mentor for project managers and staff engineers, and have provided leadership, coordination of managers with other technical professionals to assure the efficient operation of projects, marketing and business development.I am a registered Civil Engineer in CA, HI, NV and OR, and an A HAZ General Contractor in California. I have taught classes and seminars for 20 years relating to construction management, design, environmental compliance, evaluation of new treatment technologies and have provided expert witness services for water issues, construction defects and contractual issues. I have worked with Federal, State, County, City and other public agencies as well as schools, developers, attorneys and other private clients. I was the Resident Engineer on the original Sacramento Regional Wastewater System and developed the program for hydrogen sulfide control. I also developed, designed and constructed the methane removal system for the SoCal Water Elk Grove Water Treatment Facility, and have worked with County and City municipalities and small public and private water districts in the Delta, Central Valley and Sierra Foothills.I am the Western Regional Manager for California for Smart Vent to provide FEMA approved accredited training classes to Architects, Engineers, Building code officials, Contractors and Insurance companies to train them in the new technology to build in flood plains and qualify for NFIP insurance program.
