Conduct and facilitate tactical / firearms training for the HPD SWAT team. Conduct and facilitate tactical / firearms training for divisions outside of the SWAT Detail with the Houston Police Department and outside agencies. Lead trainer for the Houston Police Department with the Bola Wrap as well as a Master Instructor for Wrap Technologies. One of two main drivers for the ROOK on Special Threat Situations. Research new tactical tools and training for the SWAT Detail.

Plan and conduct and high risk operations and special threat situations. Serve as one of the lead instructors for the SWAT Detail in all tactical related operations. Ensure operational readiness for my team, squad and unit.

I have been an Executive Board member with the TTPOA since 2001-2002, serving as the Treasurer, Director of Operations, Vice President and President. I served as the figure head for the association, overseeing training, financial operations, the annual training conference and competition and all other association matters.

I have been a certified peace officer with the Houston Police Department since 1992, serving 3 years on night shift patrol, 5 years on a Division Tactical Unit and the last 18 years assigned to the SWAT Detail full time. I have been assigned as an Entry Team Leader since 2004, planning and conducting high risk operations, special threat situations and conducting team, squad and unit level training.I am a Master Peace Officer, TCOLE Instructor and Firearms Instructor and I hold numerous instructor level certifications in Shotgun Breaching, Active Shooter, Shoot House Instructor, Rappel Master and Less Lethal Munitions. I also hold Operator level certifications in all SWAT or Tactical related operations on a current annual basis.I have instructed with the ALERRT Center for 10 years teaching Active Shooter level 1 courses and Shoot House live fire for Patrol. I currently teach for the Texas Tactical Police Officer Association in all SWAT related fields and for the Safariland Training Group as a Master level instructor in Less Lethal Munitions, Shoot House Instructor and High Risk Warrant Service.
