Managed the day to day operation of a Marine Expeditionary Force numbering in excess of 46,000 Marines and Sailors conducting real-world operations. As Chief Operations Officer, supervised the coordination and integration of II Marine Expeditionary Force’s (II MEF) Global Force Management requirements with Marine Component Commands in support of National objectives.

In direct support of Operation Enduring Freedom, served as the Executive Assistant and Director J5 Plans to Commander United States Forces – Afghanistan and International Security Assistance Forces. Handpicked as the principal personal advisor to the four-star General Officer (General Joseph Dunford) and singular commander for both United States Forces – Afghanistan and the International Security Assistance Force.

Developed comprehensive Plans of Instruction as a Plans Observer Trainer and delivered academic periods of instruction to a wide range of training audiences – from General and Flag Officers, to staffs numbering in the hundreds.
