Led the SUPSHIP Groton project team overseeing construction of the new Virginia Class Submarines. His team oversaw the successful delivery of USS NEW HAMPSHIRE (SSN 778) more than 8 months ahead of schedule and $150M less than her predecessors.Supervised government efforts in the first Deep Submergence System (DSS) certification of Virginia Class submarines.Also served in Iraq during this tour as the Babil Province, Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) Engineer, in charge of identifying, assessing and contracting for infrastructure rebuilding projects in Iraq.Served approximately one year as the SUPSHIP Groton SSGN Project Officer, overseeing the conversion efforts of Ohio Class submarines to the new SSGN flight submarine.

Subase New London

Responsible for the brokering of all intermediate level maintenance for the submarines located in Groton, CT.Coordinated with squadrons, Type Commander and the ships to determine required maintenance dates and selected the repair organization to perform the work.

Washington Navy Yard

Planned and executed the initial trials for the Virginia Class submarine program. His team successfully executed the following first of class trials: Weapons System Accuracy Tests, hydrodynamic performance testing and acoustic trials.Selected as the Navy's Military Tester of the Year for 2004 by NDIA.Modified and received approval for the Virginia Class Test and Evaluation Master Plan, which required coordination with numerous government organizations including DoD and Navy operational test agencies.

Served as ship coordinator for USS CONNECTICUT (SSN 22) for her post delivery availabilities and her year long Post Shakedown Availability. The position required daily coordination with the ship, shipyard, waterfront project office and the Program Office to resolve technical and contractual issues.Also served as the Quality Assurance Dept Head for approximately one year, overseeing the shipyard's QA program.
