Operating within the 'HR People Data' space of the UK's Revenues and Customs body, I led a large discovery exercise to establish the current compliance state of the HMRC data protection practices, relating to its 65,000 staff.This was followed by an in depth gaps analysis, identification of inherent risks (where/if relevant) and recommendations being made to enhance the HMRC's compliance with the GDPR.

Operation Resolve was an Inquiry that was set up to fully investigate the events leading up to the disaster that killed 96 Liverpool Football Club Supporters at Hillsborough in April 1989. As a Detective Sergeant, seconded to the Home Office from the Cheshire Constabulary, I was placed as the Deputy Head of Intelligence and Information.
