CurrentSince Gary's appointment as CEO Sebel has undertaken a transformation journey. The implementation of Lean Design and Lean Manufacturing principles in conjunction with Lean sensei has significantly improved the effectiveness of the organisation and created increased employee engagement. There has been significant enhancement of supply chain, cost effectiveness, operational efficiency, improved strategic planning and changed organisation structure leading to higher collaboration. As an adjunct to the Lean directive there has also been introduction of Leadership Development Programwhich has moved the organisation to closer collaboration and reduced silo structure. The benefit is distributed leadership and a much more empowered leadership has allowed the organisation to expand in capability and develop in preparation for growth. Gary has a passion for the continuous improvement of Sebel to become a leader in commercial furniture supply to its chosen markets through exceptional customer experience. The Lean journey continues to ensure all enterprises and individuals (internal and external) in Sebel's reach experience service that is exceptional.At the time of Gary's appointment Sebel was relocating from the Padstow site Sebel had occupied for many years to the new facility at Minto. Gary and his team successfully completed the relocation without disruption to customers and this was recognised as an exceptional achievement for the whole team. Now operational at Minto since July 2014 Sebel has established a first class manufacturing and distribution hub.
