Position prior to retirement CEO of mid-sized organisation during years 2014 and 2017. Prior to this he was CFO of the same organisation. He was a senior staff member of this organisation since joining in 2000The organisation was originally part of significant Australian publicly listed entity. Senior management commenced a drive for divestment of the organisation and this was achieved in 2011 to a large US private corporation. At the time of the divestment Gary was the CFO and in 2014 was promoted to CEO. In total Gary was employed by the organisation for 17 years being both the senior Finance Executive and finally CEO and contributed significantly to the success of the organisation. In his role as CFO he was integral in the divestment process. His wide-ranging knowledge of the organisation enabled his capacity to deliver the transition of ownership successfully and then to integrate successfully into the US entity. During his tenure as CEO there was great success with implementation of Lean Manufacturing and significant cost reduction initiatives. With the energetic and willing workforce many changes were introduced, and staff morale increased significantly. Building culture was also a primary focus.
