I enjoy working with people to make our community a better place. Having owned and operated a photo business for 17 years, been involved with local politics and serving as a mayor, and having been a high school teacher at Lenawee Christian, have all given me opportunities to do just that. I really enjoy working with youth and have served as a mentor for many years and continue to do so. I also have a part-time service business (SELLING4U, LLC), where I assist people in liquidating estates and items they no longer want. I do this on eBay where I specialize in photographic equipment, but also sell a wide range of antiques and collectibles. I am a past president of the Michigan-Shiga Sister State Board, an organization that builds and nurtures relationships between people in our communities in Michigan and people in Japan. I served as president of the Michigan Association of Mayors and learned much about what makes cities successful. I have served on a committee in the Boy Scouts of America helping that organization restructure itself to better meet the needs of boys. I also serve on the Board of the Maurice Spear Campus youth correctional facility.Specialties: Collaboration, mentoring, teaching, selling, and business planning.
