My career began back in the early eighties when I graduated as an Engineering pattern maker and foundry technologist in the UK.After emigrating to Australia in 1984 I moved into a production management role with a small privately owned foundry then soon after that joined ANI (Australian National Industries) in a technical role.Over 14 years in the ANI Bradken division I specialised in Operational improvements, successfully turning around several poorly performing operations.During my career, now spanning over 33 years, I have worked in Australia, New Zealand and the UK in the mining, rail, automotive and general engineering industries.Most of my career has been with the big corporate's, but of recent times I ventured into the world of SME's, taking up the position of General manager of WAMS (Wear Applications & management Services) General Manager of WearX and in October 2013 took on the role of CEO.In November 2017 I took a lead role in successfully taking WEARX through a strategic transaction resulting in an Acquisition by Metso My career highlights to date are, vast improvements in safety performance, turning around businesses, mergers and more recently growing and building an SME to the point of a successful trade sale to a global business - Metso My strengths are, team building, motivation, coaching, discipline, manufacturing, financial control, strategic and business planning
