A busy time with the main achievements at the Agency being – delivery of compliant FIE’s supporting Agency financial products worth £38.7 million, leveraging funding from ERDF NW Programme 2007 -2013.Small Loans for Business – developed and negotiated grant assistance, delivering loans of between £3,000 and £50,000. In addition, developed and contracted the Interim Loan Fund, Interim VC Fund and Transitional Loan Fund – in each case, formulated an appropriate Financial Engineering Instrument to satisfy DBIS and DCLG. Developed and contract managed these Funds targeting growth orientated SME’s seeking debt of between £50k and £250k and equity deals of up to £1 million. Northwest Business Angels Network - re-developed and delivered the transformation from TEChINVEST to NWBA. Designed the on-line capability and re-structured Investor Club meetings. Managed the Network on a day to day basis, increasing the number of registered investors. The Network provided over £2.2m in equity for client companies in 2009/2010.Always actively seeking to pursue and identify opportunities for development.

Building and Managing Relationships - Management of the membership of the Business Club, produced on-line communications between BC and membership, delivered customer-facing presentations.Membership increased from 6,000 to over 9,000 over a two and a half year period. Assessed membership requests research, including Companies House.

Marketing and Promotion - Developed strategic and operational planning, initiated Media Plan, budget in excess of £125K pa. Generated over £3.5 million for Cancer Research. - Planned newspaper, radio and multimedia campaigns, forging alliances with high profile partners: Club 18-30, Virgin.net and BBC Holiday Programme.21 months in the US, as FAA Commercial Pilot and Instructor, gained experience in training and mentoring flight school students from around the world.
