I have more than 35 years of experience representing entrepreneurs, business owners and high net worth individuals and families in estate planning, business planning and transactions such as acquisitions and sales of businesses and new business development, corporate reorganizations and divisions, agreements among owners, designing equity compensation for key employees, real estate transactions, income tax planning and tax controversies. I work extensively with business succession planning for closely held and family businesses.I have substantial experience is designing estate plans for business owners and high net worth individuals and families, including dynasty trusts, family limited partnerships, GRATs, QPRTs, qualified spousal trusts, asset protection trusts, charitable planning, IDITs, life insurance trusts, private foundations and corporate recapitalizationsfor estate planning purposes. I have published numerous tax and business planning articles and is a frequent speaker on estate planning and tax topics. I am also a member of the firm’s Partner Board and serve as one of the Managing Partners of the Springfield office.
