Provide schedule's at Short notice for all the Ad-hoc Freight services for Victoria, Customers include QUBE logistics, Pacific National, John Holland, Metro, and McConnell Dowell and others, these Trains Consist of Container , Quarry, Grain, Paper, Cement products and including Infrastructure vehicle's and the like.

Resource planning for all of V/lines Locomotive Fleet for all of the passenger service's including the Assisting of the rostering of the Fleet from a (OCS) System to a computer base System (LACRS)

During this period work all of the Victorian States Railway corridors both Board and Standard Gauges providing all Safeworking, Emergency Management ETC when incidents occurred, Including working as an Engine (locomotive) controller, this involved the allocation of the Locomotive fleet to all the time table Passenger and freight services including the Ad-hoc services

This involved the working of trains through various Junctions and Stations including the Melbourne underground with the first 2 loops Burnley and the Caulfield loops prior to the other 2 loops opening with the induction of Metrol, During this period, I also studied in my (own time) for the Safeworking Officer's examination, Having to sit the Exam in January 1984, as there were 10 papers for examination having pass 9 of the first 10 papers and missing out the 10th paper (working of trains) by as little as 1%. But I also applied for the position as a Train Controller at Centrol and was accepted for the role in February 1984

Recorded all the train times and entered them into a train register book from 0600 am till 1145pm working 9 hours shift's including weekends from the age of 15 years old till I turn the age of 18 years old during this period I studied in my own time the Electric Staff, Double line Block and Staff & Ticket Safeworking systems as to become a Signalman at the age of 18.
